(AUDIO) Burt County Fair starts next weekend

(AUDIO) Burt County Fair starts next weekend

The Burt County Fair will be held July 19th through the 23rd in Oakland. Jason Penke talks about the Friday entertainment.

Penke says Friday activities include the Carnival and Public Fashion Show.

Austin Parcel says on Saturday the Swine Show starts at 8:00 a.m., Sand Volleyball begins at 9:00 a.m., at noon they have Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association in the Horse Arena, and the Sheep Show, Carnival, and Burt County Quartet will be starting at 2:00 p.m., there will be Pie Judging at 3:00 p.m., Cycle Ponies at 5:30, and a Demo Derby at 6:30 p.m.

Penke says Sunday’s activities include the parade and Antique Tractor Show.

Penke says the Burt County Cattlemen’s BBQ will be west of the grandstand after the parade, Pathfinder Quartet will play at 5:30 in the Foundation Pavilion. At 6:00 in left field there will be Wine Tasting, and the Dueling Piano Show will come in for a free event at 7:30 in left field. At 9:00 p.m., Hypnotist Mike Prochnow will put on a show at the Foundation Pavilion.

Parcel says Monday Activities include a Kiddie Tractor Pull and Great Family Feud.

Penke says on Tuesday the Special Awards Presentation is followed by the 4-H Livestock Auction at 2:00 p.m. The appreciation meal will be held at 4:30 p.m. in left field.
