Project Homeless Connect in Norfolk is having a Homelessness Event on Friday, October 9th. Coordinator Lacy Kimes says many free services will be offered that day.

Kimes says the event goes from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk.

She adds volunteers are still needed.

Kimes says they will also need help in the food pantry.

Kimes tells KTIC News that free transportation will be provided to and from the event.

Kimes says the Ponca Express will stop at the pickup and drop off spots every 20 minutes.

Kimes tells KTIC News that homelessness in the region isn’t what people think it might be.
