A 29-year-old Scottsbluff man has been arrested for allegedly selling heroin during a controlled buy conducted by the WING Drug Task Force.

Harry “James” Hackett has been arrested on a warrant charging him with a Class 2 Felony of Distribution of an Exceptionally Hazardous Substance.

Court records show that a CI working for WING paid Hackett for two grams of heroin during the controlled buy, but after the deal was completed it was determined Hackett only sold one gram of heroin.

Hackett is being held on a $150,000 bond at 10%, and was scheduled to make his first court appearance on the charge Friday morning in Scotts Bluff County Court.  If convicted on the charge, he could face a prison sentence ranging from 1 to 50 years.
