KEARNEY –Two Rivers Public Health Department in Kearney is putting out a request for help from all
residents of the 7-county service area. With a recent spike in numbers, the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has joined with the Two Rivers contact tracing team, and both agencies are doing their best to reach everyone to convey COVID test results.

With that being said, there are many times that people are hesitant to answer calls from unknown numbers, especially with the rise of spam or fraudulent calls. However, with the State of Nebraska assisting
with contact tracing, some local individuals may be getting calls from numbers that may normally seem
suspicious.

Two Rivers is asking that people who have been tested for COVID to please answer these calls to determine whether or not it is indeed someone reaching out with test results. They also encourage residents to practice caution if the call is not from a contact tracing team member. They remind people to never give out personal information over the phone to persons who are not verified. Should a contact tracer call a resident,
they will never ask for personal information, such as social security numbers or banking or credit card
information.

If someone from Two Rivers or DHHS should call and leave a message for a resident, Two Rivers asks
that people return the call if directed to do so within the message. If a negative test result is received, there will likely be no further follow-up needed.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please contact Two Rivers Public Health.
