Unified Command, “Keep Your Awareness Up”; Announces 13 Confirmed Deaths With 22 Pending

Unified Command, “Keep Your Awareness Up”; Announces 13 Confirmed Deaths With 22 Pending

On Thursday afternoon, Unified Command announced 263 new cases of COVID 19 in the region and 13 additional deaths.

The deaths include: Two Cheyenne County men in their 60’s, A Kimball County man in his 80’s, A Morrill County woman in her 80’s, a Morrill County man in his 70’s, a Morrill County man in his 80’s, a Scotts Bluff County woman in her 70’s, two Scotts Bluff County women in their 80’s, one Scotts Bluff County woman in her 90’s, a Scotts Bluff County man in his 60’s, a Scotts Bluff County man in his 80’s, and  a Sheridan County man in his 80’s.

22 deaths in the Panhandle are pending verification.

The new cases include:

Banner County- 1
Box Butte County – 29
Cheyenne County- 25
Dawes County- 13
Deuel County- 5
Garden County- 3
Kimball County-51
Morrill County- 17
Scotts Bluff County- 101
Sheridan County-17
Under Investigation -1

Through Thursday afternoon the Panhandle has seen 6,790 total cases, 5,108 recoveries, 95 deaths; leaving 1,587 cases and 52 active hospitalizations.

Scotts Bluff County Public Health Director Paulette Schnell says our numbers are trending higher and heading back up. “So do not relax and think you can go without masks or maybe do those bigger gatherings again,” says Schnell. Please keep your awareness up and practice that social distancing, washing your hands, and wearing your masks and keeping those gatherings down to less than 10.”
