Today, PPHD’s Unified Command provided an update on the latest COVID-19 numbers since last reporting on December 28th.
There were 213 new cases and six additional deaths to report. The new cases by county include:
- Banner- 1
- Box Butte- 25
- Cheyenne- 42
- Dawes- 13
- Deuel- 6
- Garden- 7
- Kimball- 18
- Morrill- 19
- Scotts Bluff- 63
- Sioux- 1
- Under Investigation- 1
The deaths include a Cheyenne County woman in her 70’s, a Cheyenne County man in his 70’s, a Garden County man in his 80’s, a Kimball County man in his 70’s, a Morrill County woman in her 80’s, and a Sheridan County woman in her 80’s.
PPHD also says there are an additional 27 deaths pending verification from the state.
Through Monday afternoon, the Panhandle has seen 7,740 total positive cases, 120 deaths, 21 active hospitalizations, 471 cumulative hospitalizations, and 30,617 tests being administered.
The risk dial also moved up slightly higher in the orange, or high category.
