SYRACUSE-BDS and Pender battled on the diamond Tuesday night in an elimination game in the Class C State Legion Baseball Tournament. Pender was the victor in this one winning by a final score of 3-0. It was a dominant performance from Pender pitcher Zack Hegge as he went 7 innings, allowed one hit, no runs, and seven strikeouts. That one hit didn’t come until the 7th inning with two outs as BDS’s Payton Dubbert hit a line drive for a single.

BDS ends their season at 17-9. For Pender, they will face DCB tomorrow and will need to win twice to take home the state title.
