OMAHA, Neb. — The Omaha men’s basketball program released its 2019-20 Summit League schedule in conjunction with the entire league slate, it was announced Monday afternoon.
League play opens on Dec. 29, when the Mavericks host a showdown with defending regular-season champion South Dakota State at Baxter Arena. The following weekend, the Mavericks welcome Oral Roberts (Jan. 5).
Three straight road games take the Mavericks to North Dakota (Jan. 8), South Dakota (Jan. 11) and Denver (Jan. 18).
A four-game homestand then brings Omaha back to Baxter with Western Illinois (Jan. 23), Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 25), South Dakota (Feb. 2) and North Dakota State (Feb. 5) — the last of the which will serve as a rematch of the 2019 Summit League Championship Final.
The second half of league play begins with visits to South Dakota State (Feb. 8) and Oral Roberts (Feb. 12), then a home tilt with Denver (Feb. 16). A weekend on the road takes Omaha to Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 20) and Western Illinois (Feb. 22).
The Mavericks’ home finale is a matchup with North Dakota (Feb. 26) before one last regular-season contest at North Dakota State (Feb. 29).
The 2020 Summit League Championship is set for March 7-10 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
