SCHUYLER- On Tuesday evening the York Dukes hit the road for a girl’s and boy’s doubleheader versus Schuyler and York split the matchups. In the girl’s game, York took the contest in dominating fashion as they beat Schuyler 78-16. What propelled to Dukes to victory was four players in double figures including Josie Loosvelt (10), Maddie Portwine (11), Destiny Shepherd(16), and Mattie Pohl, who led all scorers with 21 points.

In the boy’s game, it was a struggle for the first couple of quarters on the offensive side. At the end of the first quarter, Schuyler had a narrow lead of 7-6. At the half, the Warriors led 23-13. Going into the fourth quarter Schuyler was in control leading 36-24. But the Dukes made things interesting, cutting into the deficit and getting within three, but could never claim the lead. Jake Erwin had 21 for the Dukes.
For the Duke girl’s they are now 10-0 and play Scotus Thursday. For the boy’s they are 3-6 and will take on Beatrice Thursday.
